Wednesday Match Winners list at 13/2...
Wednesday 10th August 2022
Not a bad effort with yesterday’s Match Winner acca, with five out of seven winning lines. With that stake covered by Camila Giorgi landing the 11/10 odds v Emma Raducanu as a standalone single. It could be that we’re knocking on the door of our next full house…
We’re still in the early rounds of this week’s Masters 1000 events in Canada, and that means another bountiful match schedule to shoot at today. I’ve got five players in my sights. Let’s get into it…
Wednesday Match Winners list:
Men – ATP Montreal:
Taylor Fritz to beat Frances Tiafoe – this all-American clash should be entertaining. Fritz leads the head-to-head, 3-1, including their most recent encounter which was on hard courts at the Australian Open this year. I’d give Taylor the edge in pressure moments right now, too.
Alex De Minaur to beat Grigor Dimitrov – after lifting the trophy in Atlanta at the end of July, De Minaur has now won five out of six matches on hard courts since Wimbledon. The gifted Dimitrov remains hard to catch right. I’m putting my faith in the younger and more consistent player here, and that’s De Minaur.
Cameron Norrie to beat Botic Van De Zandschulp – we’re on Norrie for the title this week, and he has the game to absorb the Dutchman’s big-serving attack. Cam loves it on the hard courts in conditions like these; he didn’t face a single break point in his 1st-round win on Tuesday.
Women – WTA Toronto:
Amanda Anisimova to beat Karolina Pliskova – we’re on Amanda for the trophy this week, too, and the young American was a very dominant straight-sets winner yesterday. Pliskova is a tougher task, but Anisimova beat her just a week ago, and that bodes well here.
Kaia Kanepi to beat Garbine Muguruza – Kanepi was leading 7-6, 3-0 last night before Naomi Osaka retired injured. Kaia can sympathise, as health issues are the only thing that have stopped the 37-year-old Estonian scale great heights in her own career. Right now, however, Kanepi looks in good form, having reached the Washington final last week. Muguruza has been struggling to find any kind of momentum for some time now.

P.S
As well as Norrie in Montreal and Anisimova in Toronto, our Outright Winner book contains two other players running for us in Canada this week, Hubert Hurkacz and Jessica Pegula. Hurkacz won his opening match last night, and Pegula gets her campaign underway today.
Enjoy the tennis…
Best wishes,
