Ones to Watch in Doha - at 33/1 and 80/1...

As I said in Monday's ATP Delray Beach email, we're also taking a keen interest in this week's big WTA Doha event...

I'll keep this email brief, as it's gone midnight as I write...

Putting our faith in youth, as is our main policy here at Ones to Watch:

Two young women rising fast up the rankings right now are our recent Australian Open friend, 19-year-old Linda Noskova (33/1). And 22-year-old Emma Navarro (80/1 - 50/1)...
 

  • Noskova has won 11 out of 14 matches so far this year (79%). With a semi final in Brisbane, followed by a Grand Slam breakthrough run to the Australian Open quarter finals. The Czech teenager is up to a career-high ranking of no.28 in the world
     

  • Navarro has won 11 out of 13 matches in 2024 to date (85%). With a semi final in Auckland, followed by a maiden WTA title win in Hobart. The American is up to a career-best ranking of no.23


Noskova is in the top half of the Doha draw.

Navarro is in the bottom half. 

Both have already come through the 1st round with straight-sets wins here in Qatar this week.

And as well as the Each Way, underdog quotes for the trophy. Both Linda and Emma are priced at plenty back-able odds to win their respective 2nd round ties on Tuesday, too.
