• I feel we did some good early-bird business yesterday by backing Karen Khachanov for Wimbledon at 100/1. He’s now a still-appealing 80/1 with most of yesterday’s recommended bookies – Bet365, Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook, Ladbrokes & Coral. Women’s Final: Rybakina v Sabalenka

Elena Rybakina v Aryna Sabalenka

I’ll keep my analysis short and simple today. This is a match-up between the two biggest ball-strikers in the women’s draw. It will be nervy. Sometimes scrappy. But we will see some ferocious hitting. Some serious power. Blistering pace.

I feel sorry for the balls. They’re going to get a pounding…

Elena and Aryna have met three times before on tour, and four if you count an exhibition match. All four have gone all the way to three sets. And Sabalenka leads the head-to-head, 3-0 in the competitive matches.

The bookies make it close tomorrow. With Wimbledon champ Rybakina the marginal underdog, at 11/10 (2.1). And Sabalenka the slightest of favourites, at 4/5 (1.8) to lift a maiden Grand Slam singles trophy.

I’m with Sabalenka to win 2-1, as she has done in three previous meetings. Odds of 3/1 appeal to me for that Set Betting option, much more than the odds-on price to win the match.

Go the Distance at 10/1…

I also feel this one could go right to the wire, with either player struggling to close out the win, should they get near to the finish line. That said, odds of 10/1 also appeal, in Bet365’s Go the Distance market. That pays out if the match is settled by a deciding tiebreak in the final set (eg. 7-6 to either player in the 3rd Set).

Skybet also have that option, in their ‘Popular Request-A-Bets’ section, at 10/1. Called:
