A pair of 12/1 shots for Queen's...
Monday 17th June 2024
Good morning. The sun is shining, at last… and it’s time for some lawn tennis…
We’re off to the prestigious Queen’s Club in London for the annual Cinch Championship. A traditional key pre-Wimbledon event on the grass. And one with plenty of prize money, status, and ranking points on offer for the champion…
Play starts with the first match at 12 noon, and one of our men is in action there. So, I’ll get straight down to it this morning…
The two players I like as Ones to Watch selections here are Grigor Dimitrov (who is on court first today), and Taylor Fritz…
Both available at 12/1 - 10/1, Each Way. And both bring the hint of some real winning form this spring and into the summer…
Dimitrov has tasted success here before, winning the Queen’s title once - and also making another two semi-final appearances.
Fritz has the serve to go well here; he’s twice won ATP Eastbourne on grass here in England. The American is on the opposite side of the draw to Dimitrov and the Outright 5/4 (2.25) favourite, Carlos Alcaraz.
Let’s take Dimitrov and Fritz at double-figure prices. Both look good in white kits on a grass court. Both are capable of getting to the final here this week…
