Indian Wells – saver bet advice…
Friday 15th March 2019
In your Ones to Watch email today:
Create a ‘no lose – win only’ situation tonight…
This week’s two WTA Indian Wells picks are doing well for us.
Belinda Bencic (33/1 or 28/1) and Bianca Andreescu (30/1 or 28/1) performed great again last night, both booking their place in the semi finals of this prestigious tournament.
With those Each Way prices on our side, we have a bit of room to manoeuvre ahead of this evening’s matches.
The bookies have both semi finals closely matched…
Bencic is a slight 4/5 (1.80) favourite to beat Angelique Kerber.
Andreescu is a slight Even Money (2.00) underdog to beat Elina Svitolina.
Having backed a total of seven players at the Indian Wells event (men & women combined), that’s a total of 14 points staked with each pick taken as 1 pt Each Way.
Tonight’s semi final situation gives us the chance to protect our overall Indian Wells stakes, while still allowing for a big win if either Bencic or Andreescu takes the trophy.
As it stands, at 28/1+ each, if either of our players gets to the final then the total 14-pt outlay will be covered by the Each Way (1/2 the odds) payout.
However, if both players lose in the semi finals then we’ll be empty handed. We don’t want that.
Here’s my saver bet advice:
Only place these Match Winner bets if you backed Bencic & Andreescu in the Outright Winner market as previously advised:
This will create a position where our total stakes for the tournament will be recouped if Bencic or Andreescu (or both) go out tonight. And if either player goes on to win the tournament, we’ll get the big payout from the 28/1+ Win Only part of our bet.
Play starts 1.30am, UK time. If you’re staying up, both matches are live on BT Sport.
Enjoy the tennis…
Best wishes,
Tom Wilson
