The Rollover – bet No.8…

At the start of April we kicked off our new Rollover bet. The aim is to roll a £10 stake over with match winner selections, cashing-out when we get to the £100 mark. I believe that’s an achievable target. We’re not reaching for the stars. And this new feature adds some extra excitement to our weekly tennis coverage.

  • The Rollover advice will always be to bet with bookies that void match bets for uncompleted matches. That way we’ll never lose our stake/ rollover pot due to a match retirement. Find out more about bookies’ rules here

After bet No.7 won last week, the Rollover stake stands at £72.93. That goes on our next selection today, with the match scheduled for around 10.30am…

Rollover bet:

  • Bernarda Pera to beat Kaja Juvan @ 8/13 (1.62)

Pera is top seed in the women’s French Open Qualifying draw. Today is the final round and with a lucrative place in the main draw up for grabs, the 24-year-old can continue her recent good form and beat 18-year-old Kaja Juvan.

Somewhat unusually for an American player, Pera has more clay-court form in her book than on any other surface. With an impressive 73% career match win rate on the clay. And 205 of Pera’s 298 career match wins have come on the clay.

After winning a lower-tier ITF title at Trnava in Slovakia on clay last week without dropping a set in five matches, Pera has continued that streak this week by adding a further two 2-0 victories in French Open Qualifying.

Teenager Juvan also comes into this match in strong recent form, but the more experienced American has clear momentum here and in what is a big match for both players at this level, Pera is my pick to get the job done today.

Pera is 8/13 (1.62) with Boylesports, Betway, NetBet, 10Bet.
