Tennis Betting Advice - October 2023
Wednesday picks: 9/1 Belgian - and a potential slug-fest...
Tuesday 17th October 2023
A quick update and some bet advice, ahead of Wednesday morning's tennis...
As I said in Monday's email, it's a busy week on the tours, with six tournaments taking place.
At ATP Antwerp, I want to add home hope David Goffin to the book - available at around 9/1 Each Way. The 32-year-old Belgian had a good win in the 1st round, and has been to the quarter finals and semi finals here before. The 32-year-old takes on our 100/1 youngster Giovanni Mpetchi Perricard on Wednesday, for a place in the quarter finals. Goffin might just have saved his best tennis of the year for this home event - let's back him in case that proves the case. In doing so ensuring we have a player in the quarters this week.
Over in Asia on the women's tour, at WTA Nanchang in China, one match that jumps straight out for a bet on three sets is Camila Osorio v Sara Sorribes Tormo. You may recall me reporting before that both women have a knack of playing in some of the longest matches recorded on the WTA Tour over the last couple of years. Not least their slug-fest on hard courts in Cleveland last summer, which went to the full three sets - and lasted just three minutes shy of four hours. That's a marathon. Don't ask me who's gonna win this one: just take the odds-against prices for it to go to three sets.
