Tennis Betting Advice - February 2023

One to Watch for the US Open at 80/1...

Sunday 5th February 2023

I've just watched Alycia Parks win her first WTA Tour title. Playing in her maiden final, the 22-year-old American put in one of the most impressive displays I've seen for some time.

Parks is no.79 in the world as I write. But she'll be up to a new career high after that trophy-winning performance in Lyon...

Serving incredibly, and playing the big points superbly - with a partisan French crowd very much on the side of Lyon-born favourite Caroline Garcia. The young American showed real class - and talent. It looks like Alycia has the taste for the big-time...

The hype machine will inevitably compare Parks to American legend Serena Williams - especially with her serving.

But on the big-odds betting front, perhaps another US Grand Slam champion can be our line of inspiration here...

Back in the summer of 2017 we got on Sloane Stephens at 40/1+ when she 'came from nowhere' to win the US Open. From what I've seen this week, Alycia Parks has the potential to do something similar.

Parks showed her potential on the main tour at WTA Ostrava last season, beating Top 10 player Maria Sakkari, as well as former no.1 and US Open finalist, Karolina Pliskova. And this week's showing in Lyon feels like a big move forward...

Let's take the big early-bird prices for the women's US Open 2023, while we can.
