Tournament Update – Potapova in the quarter finals…

We had three Outright Winner picks this week and going into Thursday evening, we have two still standing.

In Hamburg, 22/1 shot Benoit Paire proved as erratic and frustrating as ever – losing a very tight match v fellow Frenchman, Jeremy Chardy, 6-7, 7-5, 6-3.

In Latvia, 14/1 Each Way pick Anastasia Potapova has won through the opening two rounds and moves into Friday’s WTA Jurmala quarter finals. The Russian teenager is priced as the favourite to beat Patricia Maria Tig of Romania.

In the USA, our 22/1 Each Way pick Ugo Humbert has one win under his belt and plays again tonight (1.30am UK time). The up-and-coming Frenchman is one win away from booking a place in the ATP Atlanta quarter finals.

Plan for the weekend and next week…

Advice for this weekend:

• If Potapova or Humbert happen to make it through to the semi finals in their respective tournaments, then my standard semi-final ‘saver bet’ advice would be to stake enough on their semi final opponent to recover your original Each Way stakes in the Outright Winner markets
