Tennis Betting Advice - June 2020
Two feature events this week - including Andy Murray...
Monday 22nd June 2020
In your Ones to Watch email today:
Injury was a key theme in our last email, as we discussed the current fortunes of two former Junior women’s champions…
Claire Liu and Coco Vandeweghe didn’t get on court in California on Friday. The GST Tours Matchplay 120 official website simply states ‘Cancelled (Injury)’ for that match. I’m not going to pretend I know if it was Liu or Vandeweghe that pulled out this time.
That was a void bet for us, then. We can expect to be back in action in the daily match markets this week. And I’m still hopeful (Tom, you dreamer…) of the bookies coming up with some Outright Winner markets for the London event…
Battle of the Brits starts tomorrow…
The Battle of the Brits starts on Tuesday.
Eight men are in action, including current British No.1 Dan Evans, former Australian Open semi finalist Kyle Edmund – and the two-time Wimbledon champion himself, Sir Andy Murray.
Play starts in the Singles from 2.30pm, with all matches being shown live on Amazon Prime Video. There’s a Doubles competition, too.
Over in the USA, there’s a strong field being assembled for the Credit One Bank Invitational in Charleston, South Carolina, which is also due to begin tomorrow afternoon, with both Singles & Doubles matches…
Including our Aussie Open friend Sofia Kenin. Along with the likes of Madison Keys, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Sloane Stephens, Victoria Azarenka, Monica Puig, Ajla Tomljanovic, Danielle Collins, Alison Riske, Shelby Rogers, Eugenie Bouchard, Jennifer Brady. And the exciting teenagers Amanda Anisimova and Leylah Fernandez.
See you in the morning…
A couple of bookies have started putting up their match prices for the Battle of the Brits. I’ll be getting up to speed with everything that’s going on that we need to know, ready for the kick-off in London tomorrow.
I’ll be with you in the morning with my day one preview.
Enjoy the tennis,
Best wishes,
Tom Wilson
