ATP Halle – get behind Seb at 20/1…
Tuesday 14th June 2022
We’re against the clock again this morning, so I’ll get straight to the point with today’s tournament selection.
The men’s grass-court event in Halle, Germany is our focus today. The player I want to get behind is Ones to Watch youngster, Sebastian Korda. He’s available at 22/1 and 20/1 Each Way in this morning’s Outright Winner betting for ATP Halle, AKA the ‘Terra Wortmann Open.’
Seb was one of the stars of our pre-season 2021 Ones to Watch report. During that breakout season last year, the level-headed American climbed the rankings, reached the Miami Open quarter finals, and won a first ATP title (Parma). He also made the Last 16 at Wimbledon – on the back of a quarter-final run here at Halle.
Still just 21 years of age, the world no.41 has all the tools to go far and become a Top 10 player and Major trophy challenger for years to come.
Right now, I want to get behind Seb for a good run this week, with odds in the region of 20/1 holding plenty of appeal ahead of his 1st round match today.
Korda’s half of the ATP Halle draw avoids the top seed and world no.1 Daniil Medvedev. With one of Stefanos Tsitsipas or Nick Kyrgios a potential opponent down the road, there are question marks over both of those two. Tsitsipas does not have any significant grass form to point to. While the big-serving Kyrgios seems to ‘beat himself’ and lose his temper too often. Seb could take advantage here.
Play starts from 11am, after which bookies will take down their Outright markets for the day.
