Tennis Betting Advice - March 2025
Get ready for 'March madness'...
Monday 3rd March 2025
One of the biggest tournaments of the year starts this week. And it’s got a history of huge prices…
I feel that one got away from us with Rebecca Sramkova last week. Backed at 50/1 or 40/1 for WTA Merida, going into Friday night the 28-year-old Slovakian was looking good, and down to 7/1 for the trophy…
But Sramkova then lost her quarter-final match from a set and a break up against Emiliana Arango… and the Colombian then went all the way to the final, with Arango having gone off on day one of the tournament at 100/1 and 80/1.
Arango was then well beaten in the final (to say the least). With the 7/2 title favourite Emma Navarro dishing out a 6-0, 6-0, ‘double bagel’ whitewash in the trophy match.
We’ll be going again at the big Each Way prices this week…
And there are few more exciting patches on the tennis calendar in my eyes than March - just as springtime starts to creep into view…
With the annual ‘Sunshine Double’ in the USA - two joint ATP & WTA, 1000-grade Masters events… nicknamed the 5th Majors… with only the four Grand Slams holding greater status…
We also call the Sunshine Double, ‘March madness’... as there’s a great history of shocks, surprises, and big-odds payouts here…
Last year alone, the month of March in the States produced two whoppers at these headline events. With Maria Sakkari a 66/1 runner-up at Indian Wells. And Danielle Collins the title winner in Miami at 100/1…
Those 2024 prices follow on from many similar big-odds results at Indian Wells and the Miami Open in recent years…
