Kevin to make it 5 in a row…
Good morning. A short email from me today, just to alert you to my pick of the match prices on the Saturday schedule…
Play continues in Germany and Atlanta, USA. Yesterday our man Trent Bryde came close to landing underdog odds of 2/1+, just edged out by the favourite Chris Eubanks in a deciding Champions Tiebreak, 10 points to 6, after the match was levelled at one set all. Final score-line: 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.
Bryde got back to winning ways in the last match of the day in the States though, this timing come through a deciding ‘breaker to beat Ruan Roelofse, 2-6, 6-3, 12-10 (and saving a match point, too). Bryde is now played 4 won 3 at this inaugural Exo-Tennis event.
Kevin King is the leading performer so far. He’s won all 4 of his matches over the opening two days, and all of them by two sets to nil:
Won 7-5, 6-2 v Eubanks
Won 7-5, 6-4 v William Blumberg
Won 6-1, 6-2 v Roelofse
Won 6-0, 6-0 v Korey Lovett
King’s first match today is against Donald Young, who has lost 2 of his 4 matches here so far.
Given King’s solid form in the opening flurry of matches, he appears to have turned up in better shape than his fellow American here, and can prove the more consistent player in this match-up.
Play starts 3pm. You can watch live for free at Playsight.com.
Exo-Tennis Series, USA:
I’ll be back in touch in the next couple of days with more on the exhibition events.
Enjoy the tennis…
Best wishes,
Tom Wilson
