When it comes to tournament Outright Winner markets, the Ones to Watch way is to back appealing outsiders at attractive Each Way prices.

While world no.2 and hot favourite Carlos Alcaraz celebrates his 20th birthday in his home country, our 40/1 pick Borna Coric will be looking to spoil the party. It’s a long-shot. But that’s what we’re all about with our Each Way picks…

In the other half of the men’s Mutua Madrid Open draw, there are two players competing in their first ever ATP 1000 ‘Masters’ semi-final. We’re on one of them, with 33/1 shot Jan-Lennard Struff taking on Aslan Karatsev. The bookies make that one a pick ‘em.

After a highly impressive performance against big name Stefanos Tsitsipas last night, a match in which Struff started as the 4/1 underdog. With the German’s battering-ram serve and hefty two-handed backhand doing plenty of damage. Our man is now the tournament second-favourite behind the odds-on Alcaraz.

The semi-finals are the ‘money matches’ for our tournament picks: one match win away from an Each Way payout for reaching the final…
