ATP World Tour Finals – a good start…

Tuesday 13th November 2018

In your Ones to Watch email today:

  • ATP World Tour Finals…
  • A good start…
  • 25/1 Anderson now 7/1…

In with a shout…

We got as far as the quarter finals in WTA Limoges last week. The lower-tier women’s event was eventually won by Ekaterina Alexandrova (12/1), who beat fellow Russian and 66/1 outsider Evgeniya Rodina in the final.

This week is all about the ATP World Tour Finals at the 02 Arena in London. Last week we got on Kevin Anderson early doors at 25/1.

Big Kev played in the opening match of the tournament on Sunday afternoon, and beat Dominic Thiem 6-3, 7-6.

The 32-year-old South African followed that up today with a comprehensive and impressive 6-0, 6-1 hammering of Kei Nishikori. The Japanese player had beaten Roger Federer on Sunday night.

With two wins out of two and no sets dropped, Anderson is in a good position to qualify from his Group and make the semi finals. His third and final round robin match is against Federer on Thursday. Our man has put himself in a great position with those two match wins.

Depending on the outcome of tonight’s Federer v Thiem match, Anderson could even be qualified before he faces Roger.

As big as 22/1, 25/1 and even 28/1 on the eve of the tournament, Kevin is currently a 7/1 shot for the title.

There’s a lot of tennis still to be played in London this week. But our man has made a good start – and he’s playing well.

Enjoy the tennis…

Best wishes,
