Just a quick update from me this morning...
Gremlins...
Earlier this week, it turns out the ‘Contact Us’ form on our website had a few technical problems.
If you’ve been trying to email me or Customer Services, you might have got an ‘error’ message – or just a load of jumbled-up words, numbers and code...
Sorry about that. I’ve been assured all is now well. The gremlins have been banished...

‘Small margins’ is a phrase you hear a lot in professional sport. And with the nature of the tennis scoring system, it rings especially true for the game closest to my heart...
Last week, our man Victor saved a total of four Match Points throughout the week. Before eventually battling through to take the ATP Quito trophy – and I suppose that’s the only ‘stat’ that really counts.
This week’s 33/1 ‘One to Watch’ Taylor Fritz has also been in hero mode, saving three Match Points in his opening match in Memphis on Tuesday night...
Fritz is in action again tonight, and is now down to 12/1 in the Outright Winner betting. We’ve got some value on our side there, with our man cut from 33/1 to 12/1 having played just one match.
A bit of frustration for us in Doha though. World No.2 and tournament joint-favourite Angelique Kerber was knocked out this morning, opening up the top half of the draw...
But Elena Vesnina, our 80/1 outsider pick in that section, was also beaten. We’re hunting in the right areas of these events though – and doing the right thing by taking on vulnerable and short-price tournament favourites.
