We’re off to the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club today…
Wimbledon is on the horizon. But this weekend, it’s the third Major of the golf season, the US Open…
And after profitable Each Way selections at The Masters and PGA Championship this spring, we’re taking the Ones to Watch approach to the greens once again…
They tee off from 11.30am, UK time. With the tournament live on Sky Sports from today through to Sunday night.

Cameron Smith @ 80/1 Betfred, Bet365 – Each Way 1/5 odds 8 places
- Won The Open at St Andrews for us at 28/1 in 2022. Some comparisons with Scottish Links golf here at Shinnecock. Cam has the skill set and big occasion mentality to deliver at a Major event and tough course like this. Especially of note here considering the big price. Top 5 finish at US Open in 2023. Posted a T7 finish at the most recent Major this year, the PGA Championship. An 80/1 outsider but a quality golfer – and may be returning to something like his best form…
Justin Rose @ 40/1 Betfred, Bet365 – Each Way 1/5 odds 8 places
- Age 45, Rose is clearly now focusing on the Majors. Looking to add a long-awaited second big trophy to the mantelpiece, after his US Open triumph in 2013. As Justin said to the media this month: “They’re [the Majors] the events that grab my attention. They’re the events that are going to change my career … They’re the events that I’ve sort of been getting up for and playing well in, so I’m excited.” Rose has notched Top 10 finishes at the opening 2 Majors this season, and at 5 of the last 9. He came Top 10 when the event was last held here 2018 – a year in which our old pal Brooks Koepka won the title, with a +1 score. A tough course – but Rose is a tough competitor…
Ludvig Aberg @ 25/1 Betfred – Each Way 1/5 odds 8 places
- It wouldn’t be Ones to Watch if we didn’t put in a super-talented young gun in search of a maiden Major. Aberg has made 11 out of 13 cuts in 2026, showcasing both his talent and consistency. He’s come Top 5 at 2 of his last 5 tournaments. Ludvig has the look of a player who could catch fire and win a big pot at any time…
