Notes from the Tour: My Miami match picks for today...

Thursday 19th March 2026

Rain wiped out a whole day’s play at the Miami Open yesterday. That means today’s rearranged schedule is jam-packed - with 50 matches taking place…

Opportunity knocks in Miami today. A mountain of matches to tackle. And from that whopping 50-match list, I’ve got two betting angles in the men’s 1st round…

Play starts at 3pm UK time, and runs into the night…

Starting with a seven-man Match Winner accumulator:

ATP Miami Open - 1st Round - from 3pm UK time

  • Jenson Brooksby to beat Zizou Bergs - American worthy favourite…

  • Marcos Giron to beat Martin Landaluce - Ditto for the home player…

  • Stefanos Tsitsipas to beat Arthur Fery - Greek player vastly more experienced and on the comeback…

  • Reilly Opelka to beat Nuno Borges - Opelka huge server; Borges never won 1st round here…

  • Alejandro Tabilo to beat Francisco Comesana - Head-to-head 1-0 to higher-ranked Tabilo. Comesana has a negative career match win-loss rate on hard courts…

  • Alex Michelsen to beat Mattia Bellucci - Big-serving American arrives confident and in good form after a run to the Indian Well Last 16 last time out. Head-to-head 1-0 to Michelsen…

  • Tomas Machac to beat Emilio Nava - The Czech is a classy player and fancied to beat a lower-ranked opponent here…

That 7-fold match acca pays 17/1 with Boylesports and Betway.

7-fold match acca for the ATP Miami Open 1st Round

And for a standalone single at slight underdog prices, due on court sometime after 4pm:

  • Ethan Quinn to beat Hubert Hurkacz at 11/10 (2.1) Skybet, Bet365, William Hill, Boylesports, Betway

Quinn won their only previous meeting, with the young American beating Hurkacz - who is on an injury comeback this year - in straight sets at January’s Australian Open.

The 22-year-old Quinn arrives here at a new career-high ranking of no.56 in the world, having put together a five-match streak to win the ATP Challenger title in Phoenix last week.

Hurkacz won Miami back in 2021, but the Pole has dropped off significantly recently, hampered by serious injury. The 29-year-old former world no.6, currently ranked no.75, lands in Miami on a six-match losing streak.
