Update: 2 picks in the quarter finals this week...

Thursday 19th February 2026

Good morning. I was up late last night watching the action at Delray Beach

Our man Sebastian Korda played very well again, winning his second straight-sets match of the week. And the American, in the book for us this week at a top-price 14/1, and 12/1 in general, is now through to tomorrow’s quarter finals

We also have another quarter-finalist on the WTA Tour…

Our 33/1 pick Clara Tauson is also yet to drop a set this week, winning through each of the first three rounds in Dubai, 2-0. The young Dane has also been serving a lot of aces. She’ll need her power and accuracy to be on point to beat world no.5 Jessica Pegula in their quarter final this morning.

One again (isn’t it always the case?), our two players are the underdogs to get to the semi finals. But outsider betting is what we do here at Ones to Watch. And we’ve been doing it for a good 12 years and counting.

There are numerous platitudes to choose from on days like this; I’ll go with this one today: you can’t win the lottery if you don’t buy a ticket…

I’ll be tuning in to watch Tauson v Pegula this morning (10am+, UK time). And after that, I’ll be in touch with this week’s Notes from the Tour article for you this afternoon.

Enjoy the tennis…

Best wishes,

Tom Wilson
