Wimbledon double at 99/1...

Tuesday 30th June 2026

Day one saw three of our six pre-tournament picks take to the court in the 1st round, and they all progressed with confident straight-sets wins.

Karolina Muchova and teenager Iva Jovic in the Women’s, and Felix Auger Aliassime in the Men’s.

Our three other selections are in action today. With the prices for Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton both shortening since we backed them last week, after the late withdrawal of Jack Draper in that side of the draw (injury). In the ladies’ event, Diana Shnaider starts her campaign for us this afternoon.

  • Details/ links to all 6 of our Wimbledon 2026 Outright Winner, Each Way picks can be found here

Our three Women’s bets were all early-bird moves, placed well in advance of the draw being made. As it turned out, Muchova, Jovic, and Shnaider each landed in different quarters of the drawsheet.

We are going to do some Ones to Watch business in the remaining segment of the field today…

Wimbledon double at 99/1:

Making the case for two Top 3 players…

The Women’s 3rd Quarter contains reigning Wimbledon champion, Iga Swiatek. The former world no.1 hasn’t had it all her own way at the ‘Slams for a while now. The 25-year-old has gone through a spell of throwing in more bad days than in her peak period of domination which started when she landed the French Open for us at massive odds back in 2020.

Odds of 10/1 and 9/1 suggest the bookies aren’t fully convinced.

But I sense a bit of value in that price for the 3rd seed…

Swiatek is yet to win a tournament this season… however, this a world-class, multiple Major winner we’re talking about. The Pole arrived at SW19 last summer without a 2025 trophy to her name – and went on to light up her year in magnificent fashion, taking the most prestigious title of them all, on the green grass of the All England Club…

  • Swiatek won the Wimbledon Girls’ title as a junior in 2018. She returned to win the real thing last year

We like our Grand Slam summers to centre on big-odds action. And in that department, I like Swiatek for the Women’s title alongside Alexander Zverev for the Men’s, to form a high-quality, if somewhat contrary, double:

  • Having won the French Open last month, 29-year-old world no.3 Zverev has now released the pressure valve – finally winning a Major, having been touted for one and come so close so many times in his impressive career. And with former two-time Wimbledon champ Carlos Alcaraz out injured here, just as he was in Paris last time out – the German may be primed to take his chance once again…

Odds of 9/1 roll up very nicely in an Each Way double consisting of the Women’s 3rd seed and Men’s 2nd seed…

Swiatek and Zverev are both scheduled on court in the 1st round this afternoon.
